Once upon a time at an afternoon barbeque in Boise, Idaho, some creative folks with overactive imaginations were grilling some beer-can chicken. While enjoying the company of friends and sipping their cold frosty beers, they would periodically check the beer-can chicken for doneness. After lifting the grill lid for the third time they decided that there is something horribly wrong with the chicken. No, it wasn’t the way the chicken was cooking; it was the way the chicken was looking.
There it was just sitting there without a head; it was at that point they had light bulb moment……"This chicken needs a head!”
They started dressing up a potato with eyes, ears, nose, and a tin foil hat. Kind of like an edible Mr. Potato head. They thought there might be something to the chicken head phenomena, and thus started playing with clay to see what might be possible.
Soon they were cranking out Beer-Butt Chicken heads from their living room. Since developing the Beer Butt Chicken Heads and forming the company Cluck-n-Stuff, Robyn Asimus has taken the product on the road to the National Fiery Foods and BBQ Show in Albuquerque, NM.
